Established in 1994, MTA is an Israeli public higher education institution with a clear goal to provide excellent academic education, and to use its academic capacities to improve the lives of marginalized groups. Running schools in five academic fields as well as international collaborative initiatives and degree programs (Behavioral Sciences, Government and Society, Economics and Management, Computer Science and Nursing Science), MTA has proven its excellence for over 26 years of its operation: the College is placed among the best institutions of higher education in Israel and boasts a cadre of graduates who hold key positions in Israel and overseas. We nurture multi-sector partnerships that provide our students with a one-of-a-kind ecosystem for entrepreneurs, investors, sponsors and activists and attracts dozens of international executive and academic delegations every year and homing successful start-ups, social businesses and ngos. At MTA, we are dedicated to advancing positive social change through what we call “New Academia”. The New Academia is based on three pillars:

1) Applied Research: Our research institutes and initiatives consistently advance innovative studies, the results of which are then applied to benefit our own local community, as well as the global academia and society at large.

2) Experiential Learning: MTA's community initiatives, corporate projects, and mentorship programs help students take academic theory out of the lecture hall and apply it to real-world situations.

3) Social Commitment: Students and faculty are encouraged to participate in a wide range of social projects and programs designed to have a positive impact on underprivileged communities.
